The 3-phase framework: How to rewire your nervous system while building your business
Most coaches do inner work OR outer work.
Therapists focus on processing your past. Business coaches focus on building your future.
But here’s the problem:
Processing your patterns without applying them to revenue keeps you stuck in insight without income.
Building strategy without addressing what sabotages it keeps you stuck in the knowing-doing gap.
You need both. In parallel. At the same time.
Here’s exactly how it works.
The Parallel Processing Principle
Over 12 weeks of 1:1 strategic and somatic support, we move through three distinct phases. Each phase addresses a specific layer of the work, and each builds on the one before.
This isn’t therapy. This isn’t traditional business coaching. It’s something different entirely.
The Core Principle:
While you’re processing why your throat closes when stating your price (inner work), we’re building your revenue architecture (outer work).
While you’re reconnecting with what actually energises you creatively (inner work), we’re identifying your ideal client profile and competitive positioning (outer work).
While you’re practicing embodied truth-speaking in our sessions (inner work), we’re preparing your client pitch strategy and objection handling (outer work).
One feeds the other. That’s why it works.
You’re not just learning to feel better. You’re earning more.
You’re not just building strategy. You’re rewiring what sabotages it.
Both. Simultaneously. In parallel.
The 3-Phase Journey
PHASE 1: Timeline Deep Dive
Sessions 1-3 | Typically Weeks 1-6
What we’re doing: Mapping what’s shaped your entrepreneurial path, identifying patterns running under the surface, and clearing space in your mind and body for what wants to emerge.
Session 1: What Made You Who You Are Until Now
We don’t start with your business plan. We start with your body.
Before our first session, you complete a timeline reflection - the pivotal moments that shaped how you show up in business today. Not a resume. The real story.
In Session 1, we go straight to what your nervous system is actually holding:
The somatic work:
I’ll ask you to notice: When you think about asking for premium pricing, where does your body contract? Throat? Belly? Chest?
Then we track it back. Not to analyze or intellectualise, but to identify the survival patterns still running your business decisions.
Common patterns we uncover:
The one who learned to stay small to stay safe (Invisible)
The one who manages everyone’s feelings at their own expense (People Pleaser)
The one who over-delivers hoping to finally be enough (Over-Deliverer)
The one who can’t tolerate stability and recreates chaos (Boom-Buster)
These aren’t personality types. They’re adaptations. Survival strategies your nervous system built when you were young and powerless.
And they’re costing you money.
Jamie’s moment: “My throat closes. My belly braces. Like I’m back there.”
That’s the pattern. Now we can work with it.
What you get:
Clear identification of your specific survival patterns
Understanding of where your body holds old strategies
Daily somatic practices (2-3 minutes) to start working with your nervous system
One small experiment in “being seen safely” before our next session
The homework:
Track when patterns show up in real business situations
Practice the daily somatic exercise
Notice what happens when you do the visibility experiment
Duration: Typically 90 minutes. We take the time needed to map the foundation properly.
Session 2: When You Were Actually Alive
Now we map the opposite - the moments when you weren’t performing, managing, or hiding.
The exploration:
When were you in pure flow? What work made you lose track of time?
When did your chest lift instead of contract?
What were you doing when you felt genuinely energised, not depleted?
For Jamie, it was that first day with a camera as a kid - disappearing into creative exploration for hours, building just for the joy of it.
That’s your compass. That’s what we’re coming back to.
The somatic work:
We don’t just talk about flow states. We bring them into your body right now.
Through guided somatic practice, you reconnect with:
Your throat (your voice, your truth)
Your belly (your power, your grounding)
Your chest (your authentic expression)
You practice speaking what’s real without managing how it lands.
Jamie found his “wolf shout” - the sound that had been suppressed for years. He landed on his embodied truth: “It’s my responsibility to speak my truth.”
This isn’t positive thinking. This is nervous system work. The throat that was clamped in Session 1 opens. The voice that got pushed underground starts coming back.
The practical foundation:
We also secure your financial baseline during this phase.
Whether that’s part-time work, existing clients, or another income stream - we make sure your nervous system isn’t operating in pure survival mode.
When you have your baseline covered, you can breathe. Make strategic choices. Say no to wrong-fit opportunities.
Jamie secured baseline income covering his essential expenses. Suddenly he could make decisions from groundedness instead of desperation.
What you get:
Reconnection with your flow state (your compass)
Somatic tools for working with throat/belly/chest
Your core embodied truth statement
Financial baseline secured (or clear plan to secure it)
Weekly creative reconnection practice established
The homework:
Block time for unstructured creative exploration (no deliverables, just play)
Practice speaking your truth in small, low-stakes moments
Notice the difference between performing and being
Track when you feel flow vs. when you feel depletion
Session 3: Your Patterns + Real Connection
Now we look at the volatility patterns and connection moments that are still actively influencing your present.
The boom/bust exploration:
If your revenue looks like a heart rate monitor (feast/famine cycles), we work with that.
Not with judgment. With curiosity:
What is your body actually seeking in volatility?
How does the boom/bust pattern connect to early chaos?
Where does your system go during the boom? During the bust?
What does “stability” feel like in your body? (Often: wrong, suspicious, uncomfortable)
We explore how the same nervous system patterns from early chaos show up in your relationship with money, clients, and business rhythm.
The radiance mapping:
We also identify moments when you’re genuinely uplifted and connected - not performing or caretaking, but actually present and alive.
What’s happening in your body during those moments?
Chest lifts? Belly ease? Throat open?
What’s different about these connections vs. the ones that deplete you?
The preparation:
By the end of Phase 1, you’re ready for real-world application. You have:
Awareness of your specific patterns
Somatic tools to work with them
A sense of what alignment feels like in your body
Financial baseline stability
One upcoming business opportunity to practice with
What you get:
Understanding of your boom/bust pattern and what drives it
Distinction between genuine connection and performance/caretaking
Integration practices for sustainable change
Preparation for upcoming client situations
Clear visibility into what triggers old patterns
The homework:
Notice when boom/bust urges arise (what triggered it? where in your body?)
Identify one moment of genuine connection (what made it different?)
Prepare for any upcoming business conversations with new awareness
PHASE 2: Human Blueprint
Session 4 | Typically Week 7-8
What we’re doing: Using Human Design and Gene Keys to show you what you’re actually built for - not what you’ve been conditioned to do.
Session 4: Your Energetic Design
This isn’t personality typing. This isn’t woo-woo spiritual bypassing.
This is understanding your body’s natural decision-making process, your energetic signature, and the journey from your shadow patterns to your gifts.
Before this session:
You’ll provide your birth data (date, time, location). I’ll generate your Human Design chart and Gene Keys profile.
In the session:
We do a deep dive into your unique energetic blueprint:
Your Type & Strategy:
How your energy actually works (and why forcing “hustle mode” might deplete you)
Your natural strategy for making decisions (not what business gurus tell you)
Your signature when you’re in alignment vs. your not-self theme when you’re forcing
Your Authority:
How your body actually makes decisions
Why “rational pros/cons lists” might not work for you
What your gut/sacral/spleen/heart is actually telling you
Your Profile:
Your life’s work theme (the throughline of what you’re here to do)
How you’re designed to learn, grow, and share
Your natural interaction style with others
Your Gene Keys Journey:
The specific shadows blocking you (and where they show up in business)
The gifts those shadows are protecting
The path from shadow to gift to highest expression (Siddhi)
Jamie’s insight:
He discovered he’s designed to wait for the right invitations, not force opportunities.
Suddenly his “failure” to chase clients aggressively made sense - he was working against his design. When he stopped forcing and started responding to what came to him, opportunities flowed more easily.
Key principle:
This isn’t prescriptive (”you must do X”). It’s descriptive (”this is how your system naturally operates”).
It’s a mirror showing you what’s already true so you can stop fighting yourself.
Many founders have been trying to succeed using someone else’s blueprint. No wonder it’s exhausting.
What you get:
Complete Human Design chart with interpretation
Gene Keys profile mapping your shadows, gifts, and highest expression
Recording of the session for reference
PDF guide of your specific design
Clarity on why certain strategies haven’t worked for you
The homework:
Experiment with your Strategy & Authority in one small decision
Notice where you’ve been working against your design
Identify which business approaches actually align with your energetic blueprint
PHASE 3: Inner/Outer Work Strategy
Sessions 5-8 | Typically Weeks 9-12
What we’re doing: Engineering your new reality on both levels - grounded business strategy paired with embodied nervous system shifts.
This is where everything comes together.
Session 5: Business Reality + Revenue Architecture
Now we get brutally honest about your business.
The audit:
Before this session, you answer strategic questions in your dedicated workspace:
What are you actually selling? (Be specific, no vague “consulting”)
Who paid you in the last 6-12 months and why?
What work made you feel alive vs. what drained you?
Where specifically does your throat close in the sales process?
What’s your monthly baseline need vs. comfortable living?
No stories. No shame. Just facts.
The build:
In the session, we use this data to create:
Your Revenue Architecture:
Map your specific monthly revenue target
Identify your competitive advantage (what you can do that others can’t)
Design 1-3 service offerings for the next 90 days
Create your revenue timeline (how you get from here to target)
Your Market Position:
Who is your ideal client? (Psychographics, not just demographics)
What problem do you solve that they’ll actually pay to fix?
What makes you different from everyone else in your space?
How do you talk about what you do without hiding?
The embodiment work:
We don’t just write down new prices. We practice feeling them in your body.
You say the number out loud. You notice where it catches. We work with that until your system can hold it.
Not once. Repeatedly. In different scenarios. With different objections.
This is where the somatic work from Phase 1 meets the business strategy. Your body learns: “I can say this number and be safe.”
What you get:
Complete business audit and clarity on what’s actually happening
Revenue architecture mapped for the next 3-6 months
Service offerings designed for your energy and the market
Competitive positioning that doesn’t require you to hide
Pricing structure you’ve practiced embodying
The homework:
Complete any remaining audit questions
Reach out to one past client (just reconnecting, not pitching yet)
Practice stating your new pricing in low-stakes scenarios
Track your body’s response as you practice
Session 6: Market Positioning + Pricing Embodiment
The outer work:
We get even more specific about your market positioning:
Ideal Client Deep Dive:
Beyond demographics - what keeps them up at night?
What have they already tried that didn’t work?
What language do they use to describe their problem?
Where do they already gather? (So you’re not shouting into the void)
Value Articulation:
How do you talk about your work without underselling?
What’s the transformation, not just the deliverable?
What’s it worth to them vs. what it costs you to deliver?
Pricing Structure:
Your pricing model for the next quarter
How to present pricing without apologizing
Handling objections without collapsing
When to walk away vs. when to negotiate strategically
The inner work:
This session is heavy on embodiment practice:
We practice:
Stating your prices without “but I can be flexible”
Sitting with client objections without immediately problem-solving
Saying “That’s outside scope, it will cost extra”
Holding silence after you’ve stated your price
We work with:
The throat closing when you say the number
The urge to add extra deliverables to “justify” the price
The fear of rejection if you don’t negotiate
The belief that premium pricing makes you greedy
Jamie prepared his pitch during this phase. His original instinct was significantly lower than what the work was worth.
We practiced the real number. Not just saying it - feeling it in his body. Processing why his system wanted to charge less. Building capacity to hold the higher price point.
What you get:
Crystal clear ideal client profile
Value articulation that doesn’t undersell you
Pricing structure for next 90 days
Embodied practice with stating prices and handling objections
Tools to catch yourself before you discount
The homework:
Practice your pricing conversations (record yourself if helpful)
Identify 3-5 potential clients to reach out to
Notice when you want to add “flexibility” to your pricing
Prepare for upcoming client conversations with new framework
Session 7: Client Acquisition + Real-World Application
This is where theory meets reality.
By now, you likely have real client opportunities in motion. Maybe you’ve already had conversations. Maybe you’re preparing for upcoming ones.
The strategy:
Outreach that doesn’t deplete you:
Based on your Human Design, what acquisition strategy actually works for your energy?
How to reach out without feeling pushy or salesy
Where to focus your energy for maximum impact with minimum depletion
Sales conversations from presence:
How to show up as yourself, not a performance
The questions to ask that reveal if this is a fit
Reading the room without managing everyone’s comfort
Knowing when to walk away
Handling objections without collapsing:
“That’s expensive” → How to respond without panicking
“I need to think about it” → How to create clarity without pushiness
“Can you do X for Y price?” → How to hold boundaries
The real-time processing:
You’re actually doing this now. You have real meetings. Real proposals. Real opportunities to practice your new patterns.
We process wins and blocks as they happen:
You pitched and your throat stayed open? What was different?
You discounted when you didn’t mean to? Where did the pattern activate?
You walked away from a wrong-fit client? How did your body feel?
This is where the rewiring happens. Not in theory. In practice.
Jamie’s moment:
Session 7 was when he had his breakthrough client conversation.
Voice note from his car afterward:
“My heart was racing when I arrived. I almost didn’t go. But then we started talking and I just... eased into it. They’re letting me direct this. Like actually orchestrate the whole thing. They really want this. And you know what? It felt really good being myself. Being truthful. Not performing.”
The price point? What would have made his throat close three months earlier.
But he’d practiced. He’d worked with the pattern. His nervous system had built capacity.
The throat stayed open. The price was stated clearly. The project moved forward.
What you get:
Client acquisition strategy aligned with your design
Sales conversation framework from grounded presence
Real-time processing of actual client situations
Voice note support as you implement (because breakthroughs and breakdowns don’t wait for scheduled calls)
Evidence that your nervous system is shifting
The homework:
Implement your outreach plan
Have client conversations using new framework
Voice note me before/after important conversations if you need support
Track what’s different in your body during these interactions
Session 8: Integration + Sustainability Plan
The final session is about integration and ensuring the changes stick.
The review:
What shifted internally?
How is your body different now vs. 12 weeks ago?
Which patterns still show up? How do you work with them now?
What’s your relationship with visibility, pricing, boundaries?
What shifted externally?
Revenue changes?
Client quality changes?
Opportunities that wouldn’t have shown up before?
What old patterns tried to come back?
Where did you catch yourself early?
Where did you slip back into old behavior?
What helped you course-correct?
The 6-month roadmap:
We don’t just celebrate wins and part ways. We build your sustainability plan:
Business side:
Your revenue targets for the next 6 months
What offers/services you’re focusing on
Your marketing/visibility strategy that doesn’t deplete you
Key metrics to track
Nervous system side:
What daily practices keep you grounded (so you don’t revert to old patterns)
How to catch yourself early when patterns activate
What support structures you need (community, accountability, continued coaching)
Warning signs that you’re slipping back into survival mode
The handoff:
The goal of this work is NOT to make you dependent on me.
The goal is integration. You have the tools. You know your patterns. You can catch yourself and choose differently.
After 12 weeks:
Your throat doesn’t close when you state your price
Your body doesn’t betray you in client conversations
You catch old patterns before they fully activate
You have a clear revenue pathway and the nervous system capacity to execute it
Most importantly: You can do this yourself going forward.
You’ll still have moments when patterns activate. But now you have:
Awareness of what’s happening
Tools to work with it
Practice choosing differently
Evidence that you can do it
What you get:
Complete review of internal and external shifts
6-month business roadmap with nervous system support baked in
Sustainability practices to prevent reverting to old patterns
Clear plan for ongoing growth without dependence
Recording and written summary of your journey
The final homework:
Implement your 6-month roadmap
Maintain daily grounding practices
Schedule check-ins with yourself (monthly at minimum)
Reach out if you need support (the door doesn’t close after 12 weeks)
The Parallel Processing Principle in Action
Notice what’s happening throughout the 12 weeks:
Sessions 1-3: Processing survival patterns (inner) while securing financial foundation (outer)
Session 4: Understanding your energetic design (inner) while clarifying market position (outer)
Sessions 5-8: Embodying new patterns (inner) while implementing revenue strategy (outer)
One feeds the other. That’s why it works.
You’re not just learning to feel better. You’re building a business that reflects your actual skill level.
You’re not just implementing strategy. You’re rewiring what sabotages it.
Both. Simultaneously. In parallel.
Session Structure & Pacing
Duration: Sessions are 90 minutes each, allowing depth without rushing.
Frequency: Typically bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) to allow for:
Integration of what we worked on
Real-world application between sessions
Your nervous system to build capacity gradually
Some founders prefer to move faster with weekly sessions in the beginning. Others need more space between calls, especially around Session 4 (Human Design integration).
We adapt to what serves your nervous system and your schedule. The container is 12 weeks regardless of pacing.
Between Sessions:
You’re not alone between calls. You have:
Voice note access (Monday-Friday, business hours)
Your dedicated Notion workspace with all materials
Homework/practices that build on each session
My support as patterns activate in real business situations
This isn’t “see you in two weeks, good luck.” This is continuous support as you implement.
What This Requires From You
Let’s be honest about what this work demands:
1. Willingness to feel uncomfortable
We’re working with the places you’ve been avoiding. Your throat will close. Your belly will clench. That’s not a problem - that’s the work.
2. Commitment to the process
12 weeks. 8 sessions. Homework between calls. This isn’t passive consumption. This is active participation in your own rewiring.
3. Honesty without stories
I need the truth, not the narrative you’ve crafted about the truth. No stories, just facts. The business audit especially requires brutal honesty.
4. Action despite resistance
You’ll know what to do and your body will scream NO. You do it anyway (with support). The rewiring happens through doing, not just understanding.
5. Trust in the parallel process
It will feel slow sometimes. Too internal. Not tactical enough. Trust it. The somatic work creates the foundation for the strategy to actually stick.
What You Walk Away With
After 12 weeks of strategic and somatic support:
Internally:
A nervous system that doesn’t betray you in client conversations
The ability to speak your truth without managing reactions
Tools to catch old patterns before they sabotage you
Reconnection with what actually energizes you (your compass)
Embodied capacity to hold premium pricing
Externally:
Clear revenue pathway (who, what, how much, when)
Service offerings designed for your energy and the market
Pricing you can state confidently without apologizing
Market position that doesn’t require you to hide
Real clients and real revenue (like Jamie’s results)
Most importantly:
The ability to do this yourself going forward. To catch yourself when patterns activate. To choose differently in real-time. To keep building without dependence on external validation or support.
That’s the goal. Not endless coaching. Integration.
This Is The Method. This Is How It Works.
Tomorrow I’ll share the 5 signs you’re running old survival patterns in your business (so you can identify which ones are yours).
Then we’ll address the objections (”I don’t have time for deep work”) and what working together actually looks like in practice.
Stay tuned.
Or if you’re already clear this is what you need, reply “READY” and let’s have a conversation about whether we’re a fit.
– Dan
